“The First Alpha King,” by Belle Knock

I loved book 1 of this series and this book took a spin I did not see coming. After reading book 1 I expected this book to fall along the same lines, but it surprised me. It starts out with a female ruled society where men are used for what they can provide for like breeding and hunting. The men going crazy like book 1 was more build up then I expected and not remotely the same as the first book, which was a pleasant surprise. The inner misogyny thoughts were horrible but on the same hand men were treated little better than slaves so neither side was truly good. During the entire book I felt like it was psychologically messed up and there were no good answers on what to do or how to fix it. I ended up loving the moral dilemma of the book and made me think of things and see things that remind me of our current world but on a normal everyday non-supernatural scale. 5 out of 5 stars.
