Goodness I was not ready for this book- I did go in blindly- I read the synopsis and the trigger warnings and dove head first! It sounded intriguing and this book was such a uniquely original story. It’s an adventure and such a wild ride. I really loved getting to know the two main characters Sloane and Rowan. I enjoyed their chemistry and their witty banter with one another; the comical parts really balanced the dark parts of the book. I found myself thoroughly engaged in their unfolding love story and yearly competition between one another. Many thanks to Zando and NetGalley for the digital review copy of this novel.
