Kelly Andrew does it again. Another beautifully poignant story. I devoured this book in two days. The characters were, once again, relatable and dynamic. I really enjoyed characters from the previous two standalones (The Whispering Dark and Your Blood, My Bones) making an appearance. The plot twists were great! The romance was cute, yet juvenile, which is appropriate because they’re teenagers. 

I do think that someone who has not read The Whispering Dark would be really confused if this was their first Kelly Andrew book. That being said, I think anyone wanting to read this at least needs to start with The Whispering Dark.
