Hell of a lot slower than the previous four books that Maureen Johnson has dropped in this series. I made the mistake of reading the previous books before reading this newest one and it just didn’t slap like it always does. There was a lot of info about their trip and more personal problems that just didn’t fit with the story like the previous books. And the cold case Stevie solved was interesting but didn’t have that twist that made you go “OH MY GOD!” You knew from the get go that one of these college kids had to have done it as it was the only plausible explanation.
