I was really excited to read The Friend Zone and I wished I liked this more. I loved Yours Truly and Part of Your World, but, unfortunately, this one missed the mark for me.

The Friend Zone reminded me a lot of Yours Truly, following the same plot formula. Two strangers get into a misunderstanding that is later cleared up and they both become best friends, which then leads to romance. I think the difference here is that I had a hard time connecting with Kristen and Josh. Josh's personality and some of his dialogue didn't sit well with me. I thought Kristen was funny, but I wasn't a fan of the whole cheating aspect. And the entire miscommunication between the two of them was incredibly frustrating. I did, however, love Kristen's friendship with Sloan.

The ending was an emotional rollercoaster
