Rikki-Tikki-Tavi by Jerry Pinkney, Rudyard Kipling
3.0
I had heard of Rikki-Tikki-Tavi before, but had no idea that it was a short story, or that it was part of The Jungle Book. I learned this today. My copy of an illustrated children's book version, adapted and illustrated by Jerry Pinkney, arrived today. That was not what I was looking for. I wanted Rudyard Kipling's words. I searched for, and found, a free kindle version on Amazon and read that. It was a quick read and I enjoyed the story.
I read this to fulfill the "Read a book with non-human characters" item on my checklist for the year. I read plenty of "alien" type books, and I thought an animal book would be a nice change of pace.
