*** reread january 2025: potentially THE most underrated magical realism book of all time. why is everyone not talking about this I knew what was coming and am once again in tears


this book was fantastic. the writing was so beautiful and intricate. the alternating point of view was a little confusing for me but the way it helped to flesh out the characters was so worth it. the love story between cocoa and george was one of the best written relationships I have ever read and I definitely won’t forget it. once you start reading and get into willow springs, you don’t want to leave.
