One of Us Is Lying by Karen M. McManus

3.0

I enjoyed this book. I love how we got to experience the story through the suspects perspectives. I also loved the characters, I think they are one of the tops in this book for me. Also the scenes were written so well. It was so easy to picture everything in my head.

Even though I loved the first and second act, the third act sadly fell flat in my opinion. There was this inmense build up that was repaid with none of the suspects being the murderer. I didn't like that because I feel like the impact would be much stronger if we spended the whole book connecting to the characters (just like what happenend), but then one of them lied in the end (I know that it's literally the title and pridictable as ever, but letting the victim commit suicide and plan out this whole scheme felt very save played for me personally). Not only to all the other characters, but also the reader themselves. I feel like that would be more of a twist, because I would honestly be heartbroken if one of them commited the murder. I might reread sooner or later to see if my opinion changed.

Also, Addie is the best character :)
