Not sure if me wanting and expecting to love this so much altered my enjoyment but this really didn't hit the way I thought it would! Very unique and darkly funny but the middle 100 pages was such a drag. I almost wish it had gone farther / been more ambiguous. Would definitely read more for Mona Awad in the future though!
