I literally could not put this book down. It was wonderful. Many historical novels with plot themes revolving around the Holocaust focus on the Final Solution and what occured during the war; Diamant's focus on the time period immediately following the end of the war is fascinating. Her characters are well developed and the plot flows easily despite revolving around so many different characters. I would recommend this book to everyone.
