White Ivy by Susie Yang
4.0
3.5*
Definitely an intriguing novel. A coming of age intertwined with race and class issues, which sometimes read as a psychological thriller.
Unlike many reviews I've seen, I did not hate Ivy. However, I can't say there was anything to like her either. In fact, the narration made it very hard for me to feel anything about anyone. Ivy's hopes, ambitions, feelings, everything felt superficial in its description, leaving little to care about.
So whilst it was an entertaining read, I can't say I will be changed by it.
