While this book of Ross’s didn’t resonate as deeply with me as Divine Rivals and Ruthless Vows, I still found her writing to be so beautiful and evocative. Her skill is truly undeniable. I loved this all being based on Scottish culture and how unique the magic of this world felt. I just don’t think I connected with the characters as much and some of the twists were obvious pretty early on.
