the way this one is described as "spicy summer fun, small-town charm, and Big Feelings" is SPOT ON. truly the sweetest story, with characters that i fell in love with instantly. fisher gives grumpy, dejected chef energy, but underneath his grief over losing his sister and his michelin star, he has a heart of gold and brilliant talent and so much warmth. sage is all sunshine and adopted animals and a love for her small town, despite the ex lingering around causing strife. everything sage touches turns to gold and gets better, and of course, she gets her hands on fisher... and it's all a beautiful journey from there.
