2 Stars Because it was his first book. Otherwise this would've easily been a 1 star. It took me a week to drudge through this book. It was beyond boring. About 1/2 way through it got interesting and I was happy I stayed with it. But then it just got silly. The only character I liked was Alan but man was he dull! It was a jumbled sleeper for sure. I would not recommend to anyone. I think the writer has potential and I hope he gets better acquainted with writing techniques. We need to care about the characters. We need more substance and less descriptions of meals and scenery. Half the time I felt like he was just trying to fill pages with obscure words and adjectives.
