This is one of those well-known classics that I just don't think has aged particularly well. It's not absolutely wretched, but it doesn't do anything for me either. I think the one thing that I really enjoyed about it was the image of this large manor house cracking apart and falling asunder into a lake, signifying the end of the once noble Usher family.
