About 2/3 of the book was developing Acheron's human past... I'm SO grateful Kenyon did that. In contrast to how Acheron appears in other books, I wish his relationship with his woman would have been developed more, but that might have taken the book into the 1,000+-page category. I'm looking forward to the new characters and stories now that we've settled this one (and very satisfyingly at that).
