The Final Revival of Opal & Nev by Dawnie Walton
3.0
The form of this book is mostly like an interview, through which we get to know the artists Opal and Nev, along with plenty of people that know them in some way. I thought it was done well, as it read like watching a music documentary. Which I love to watch.
I do wish I got to know Opal & Nev better. Through the interviews you only get a limited amount of information, and also the focus was mostly on Opal and I feel I barely got to know Nev.
The beginning was strong, but weakened after the first part of the book. When I actually expected it to be otherwise, given the tension and subjects like racism and women's rights.
