Thank you Avon for an Arc in exchange for an honest review!

This is one of those books that within the first 25 pages I knew it was going to be a five star read for me. The tension, the spice, all of it was on point and had me smiling from ear to ear. I loved all the the adorable and sometimes cheesy pop culture reference, especially the Taylor Swift ones.

Bellefleur was able to have so many tropes in this book fit together so seamlessly; Marriage of Connivance/fake dating, a little bit of one bed trope, and opposites attract. I also really loved that Gemma's family totally felt like the family from Knives out, since they are blind sided when she is the one set to inherit Van Dalen publishing, not the men they suspected would.

The relationship between Gemma and Tansy is absolutely fantastic. Gemma is unabashedly herself, impatient and forward. While Tansy is introverted, but used her voice for the things she loves and believes in. I love how open they are with each other, there is no miscommunication which to me makes the book that much hotter. 

I loved the bisexual and anxiety rep that was present. I also HIGHLY suggest listening to Taylor Swift while reading (if you can listen to music while you read) it made of the parts of the book just that much better.

My two cretics would be 1. that some of the side characters aren't as fully fleshed out as I would have personally liked them to be. and 2. In future novels that Bellefleur writes (this is my own personal opinion and just something I have noticed after reading all her books) I would like to see more bipoc characters.
