I did not read this book in the correct order so please keep that in mind during my review.
In this book Lee and the absolutely insufferable Pete get married. Once they get married they decide to go on a honeymoon to drive around upstate, stopping at an estranged aunt's house. There they figure out that the plane crash that killed Lee's parents might not be "pilot error" but something more sinister would be happening. They have to figure out exactly what happened and why.
I feel like I cannot enjoy these books sometimes because Pete is there, telling Lee what to do and making her feel bad for something she can't help. I will enjoy when he is not there but this book had him present all throughout. I do know he's less insufferable by comparison in a future book but this time around it was so annoying that it sucked the enjoyment from half of the book.
I do not recommend this book unless you are okay with suffering now to get to a better book later.
