So, if you've not read the previous Witcher books, this book is quite out of place. But if you know more about the universe of Witcher, it's a great book. I still wish there was a climax of sorts but it kinda just ends... But I took one star off mainly because of the terribly boring political bickering later into the book (I enjoy politics but this one was a bit dull and boring). But other than that, even with the abrupt ending, this book is filled with so many heartfelt moments, it's hard to be mad at it. Witcher universe is full of grim tales, bloodshed and war but it somehow still manages to be very wholesome and adorable and that's why I really really loved this book.
