Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix by J.K. Rowling
5.0
On a hot summer day, Harry is forced to use magic in front of his cousin, Dudley, when they are surrounded by Dementors. When they arrive back at 4 Privet Lane, Harry receives word that he is to sit for a trial at the Ministry of Magic to determine whether Harry will be suspended from Hogwarts.
Harry is taken from his home to 12 Grimmauld Place, Sirius' childhood home, where he is greeted by Ron, Hermoine, and the members of The Order of the Phoenix. When they all get together it is explained to Harry what the Order is and that they have formed to help him fight Voldemort; led by Albus Dumbledore. The Order knows that they will have no help from the Ministry of Magic as they refuse to acknowledge the fact that Voldemort has returned.
During his year at Hogwarts, not only does Harry have to deal with taking his OWLs but also with a new teacher hell-bent on making his year miserable but also with learning that he and Voldemort can read each other's thoughts and feel each other's emotions. Harry begins having nightly dreams of a long back hall that he knows is at the Ministry and he must determine what this dream means.
Late in the term, Harry has a dream showing Sirius being tortured in that dark hall and Harry does everything in his power to get to him. Once there, Harry, Hermoine, Ron, Ginny, Neville, and Luna are met by a group of Death Eaters and are forced to fight over the prophecy they have been sent to retrieve. As the fight with the Death Eaters ensues, the members of the Order join the fight. As the fight rages on, Sirius is hit by a stunning charm which sends him through the vail to the other side and Harry must handle the death of his beloved godfather. As Harry attempts to kill Bellatrix Lestrange, who murdered Sirius, he encounters Voldemort and continues to defeat Voldemort.
As the Harry Potter saga continues, the books and the story get better and better. This chapter allowed us to get to know Harry's friends better and their stories. Harry has become one step closer to his ultimate one-on-one fight with Voldemort and the rest of his life.
