Fix Her Up by Tessa Bailey
funny
lighthearted
fast-paced
- Plot- or character-driven? Plot
- Strong character development? Yes
4.0
Fix Her Up is an easy, laugh out loud and extremely cheesy RomCom with waaaayyy more spice than I was prepared for.
Some things I loved
👉Friends to lovers trope
👉Fake dating trope
👉Whitty banter
👉The Just Us League was one of my fav parts of this book. Women supporting each other to achieve their life goals, standing up for what they want and making a name for themselves.
There were a few themes I wasn't keen on, like Toxic Masculinity and Sexisim but they weren't a deal breaker in any way, but the pet name Baby Girl almost was 🤮
Seriously though, I absolutely love Tessa's ability to create unique personalities with relatable flaws and depth.
I've come to realise it's next to impossible to pace yourself with any Tessa book. I found myself struggling to stick to our planned 120ish pages over 3 days and just wanted to devour it much like I HL&S.
Also, I dont think I will ever be able to look at a roll of aluminum foil the same, ever again 🤣
