Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World That Can't Stop Talking by Susan Cain

5.0

We all know the terms introvert and extravert in our culture, but the way Cain challenges the bias towards extraversion in work, public speaking, schools, relationships, and parenting brings forward the need for balance.

She compiles a number of research examples, from the 60s to present day, to demonstrate how introverts have so much more to manage throughout their lives.

Of course, there are examples of how both of these traits are valuable as well, how in some cases introverts excel, while in others, extraverts do.

I found this a thorough, well thought out exploration of the subject, and can use it in my work and life in general. Excellent book.
