Such a great start to a new YA fantasy series! Though Caro has not yet heard the river god (like all those in her family generations past), she is determined to find her fate as she agrees to transport a mysterious crate through the Riverlands using her father’s wherry. Full of pirates, political intrigue, romance, magic, and hidden identities, I had a blast reading this. I can’t wait for the next book!
