And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie
5.0
This book definitely deserves all the praise and hype it is shrouded in!
I loved how the book seemed to dive into murder and mystery right away! The characters were quite an interesting lot- some you could relate to, some you were curious about and others you instantly disliked. They definitely maintained the pace of the plot and kept the story going.
On of the strangest and probably my favourite part of this book was that the murders were quite predictable but the identity of the murderer was quite unpredictable! Following the little poem I was able to successfully predict almost all the murders in the correct order but absolutely failed at uncovering the identity of the criminal mastermind behind it all. This is exactly what made the plot even more gripping.
A must read for every reader out there, although admittedly it won't be a good idea to read it late into the night. Unfortunately speaking from experience...
