The Frost Soldier and the Gilded Duty by Maham Fatemi
4.0
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4/5
✨YA fantasy series (book 2)
✨Imperfect and relatable FMC
✨Broody, powerful, cinnamon roll MMC
✨Slowwww burn romance
✨Epic action scenes mixed with political battles
There is something about this story that I just can’t put down! Just like book 1, I found myself totally sucked in to the story (I mean, I read it in literally just 2 days). Kolfinna can be awkward and clumsy, and she struggles with her body image, finding her place in the world, and trusting those around her… and yet it makes her even more relatable and likable. Some of her decisions in this book were frustrating, but it fits well with her journey and the development her character goes through. I love how we see more sides of Blar—broody, protective, sweet
