Water Connections: What Fresh Water Means to Us, What We Mean to Water by Jim Rousmaniere

5.0

Fantastic. Easy to follow writing and thorough research made this a vastly informative read. New Hampshire journalist and historian Jim Rounmaniere's book Water Connections: What fresh water means to us, what we mean to water is an extremely well-written and easy-to-follow publication on a subject we may not give much thought to if we are on a city water supply or own our own well. However, we should give it some consideration, for if we don't, tragic consequences can result, as Mr. Rousmaniere points out in the book. "It takes a suspension of belief that science and regulation can fully guarantee a safe drink," he informs us. So much can get into a water supply so easily. Some of it, like Fluoride, is put there intentionally, and he discusses that controversy here too.
