The Crimson Campaign by Brian McClellan

5.0

I'm so done. The best book I've read this year. The tension was insane and the stakes kept on getting worse and worse even when you thought it couldn't get any worse. There was a major, and I mean, MAJOR character death near the end and I'm not ok. HOW dare you rip out my heart like this. I'm not usually ok with cliffhangers, but this one was so well executed it hurts. If this trilogy doesn't get adapted into a tv show, I will riot.

I will take a post-book-depression shower now and hope my soul recovers enough so I can jump straight into the last book of the trilogy.

I may need some extra therapy to cope with the emotional trauma after I finish the trilogy.
