Camera Lucida: Reflections on Photography by Roland Barthes
3.0
I like how half the book is dedicated to Barthes finding his mother, and that when he finally finds her it's in an image of a child, and that this image is never printed in the book.
Memory, after all, is simply the conjuring of affect, through a misremembered dream of what was.
