I won't pretend that Charlotte Perkins Gilman isn't a product of her time. She holds beliefs that go against many of mine, but she undoubtedly was a powerful writer and a staunch advocate for woman's rights. Her stories give compelling insights into the minds of unsatisfied and unfulfilled woman who came before her and a hope for women of the future. Her short stories are deeply enjoyable and easy to read.
