Was looking forward to this book and it did not disappoint! It was beautiful, touching, and real!
Being a Chinese descendant myself, I always gravitate towards books with Chinese culture or immigrant story theme. I kept guessing until the end what actually happened with Sylvie Lee. I didn't try to guess much because a lot of other things were happening as well that distracted me from the need to keep guessing.
