The Only Light Left Burning by Erik J. Brown
5.0
I was so happy this was already out when I finished the first book! I wasn't ready to leave Andrew and Jamie's story, the I'm still not! They're just such perfect Characters! Individually and as a couple, they're just great. The way that the dual POV shows their differences and similarities is definitely a big part of what makes them such lovable and well rounded mcs.
Considering how much I love every single character in this book, I was never going to give it less than the 5 stars it deserves. I was delighted to see the return of a few side characters from book one but the new ones really made my heart even happier! Rocky Horror and Kid in particular have my whole heart!
Plot-wise, I feel like this book is a bit more of a rollercoaster than the first one. Parts of it made me sob my eyes out and I laughed out loud a lot too. It also has a kind of uneasy undertone because of Jamie's and Andrew's tense relationship after everything that happened to them in book one. That being said, the uneasiness is worth it!
My best advice if you loved book one, is to make sure you have your tissues ready and please come to scream with me about the that epilogue when you're done!
