An excellent story: tense and sad and narratively well structured. Just a great literary novel.

A note on the narrator of the audiobook, Cassandra Campbell. Campbell is not my favorite and a friend of mine gave up on this book because she couldn't stand her reading. If you give it a listen and don't like the narration, don't give up on the book. Read a hard copy instead; it's 100% worth it.
