This book was tawdry and not particularly enjoyable. It feels dated, the twists and tropes harkening back to decades past. What's more, it feels like the author was trying too hard to make all of the suspects, well, suspicious. The writing was just incredibly heavy-handed. I honestly think it would have benefitted greatly from making Jess the only POV character, rather than putting us into the heads of all of the suspects and thus giving us a lot more insight into what's going on.
It IS a pretty quick read, thanks to most of the chapters being only a few pages long. I can see how some people might enjoy it as a vacation read or something to devour on your commute or something. But it really didn't work for me and I won't be recommending it to anyone.

Graphic: Cursing
Moderate: Sexual content, Violence, and Trafficking
Minor: Homophobia
There's a dog and cat in the book. They're both fine. Neither of them is ever even threatened.
