Gray & Violet: Best Stalker Romance I've Ever Read!- 5 Stars
Violet works for a boss and a company who don't appreciate her value. She has had to endure chauvinistic comments and assignments (getting coffee) from the executives and a boss who doesn't even know she is there 90% of the time. When she's had enough and decides to quit, it is then her Boss "notices" her for the first time and becomes smitten.
Gray is a former sniper and Navy SEAL. The habit for his "eyes on the prize" mentality causes him to have tunnel vision. Hence, not really "seeing" Violet until she resigns, despite Violet being his assistant for six years! He begins to fixate on her and becomes obsessed with her.
There is a lot of creepy behavior in this book. Gray doesn't think rationally at all, and this provides for some cringeworthy moments thought out the story. His feelings for Violet are sincere. However, he doesn't know any other way to go about wooing her other than to approach the situation like its a covert operation. He soon learns the reason behind Violet's reluctance is due to a past of harassment by her former boyfriend.
I really enjoyed this story! There was a lot of times where I was sure that Gray would get caught. The author did a good job of foreshadowing and building a suspense that kept me engaged. This is definitely one of the best stalker romances that I read that ends with an even more creepy HEA.
You'll want to check this out if you love OTT heroes and feisty heroines. Of course, be sure to read the triggers before engaging!
Happy reading!
