Twenty Years After by Alexandre Dumas
4.0
I really really liked this book. I wasn't expecting to with the big time skip but I will say it was rather jarring to go from The Three Musketeers to Twenty Years after without reading the books set between the two. I might go back and read them at some point but after finishing this book, all I want to do is get onto the next one in the series. This one felt much more grown up than the first, like the silliness had been stripped from it, along with the characters youth. But the story was engaging and the new introductions were well written and I can't wait to read more about them in the next one.
