This went from sucking me in, to slowly going downhill after 100 pages.

The setting was absolutely perfect, as I love darker fairytales and imperfections within magical characters and people. However, after the goblin market I started noticing the flaws. The romance subplot was not necessary and quite sudden as these characters don't know eachother and I don't see why Marra would be so trusting with what's happened to her.

I did enjoy the humor but found it didn't quite work I'm some places where a darker tone was needed and the ending fell flat. As why couldn't Marra kill the prince, why did it have to be Fenris?

However, the best character was Bonedog.
