Crown of Midnight by Sarah J. Maas

4.0

The first half of Crown of Midnight was 3 stars. Just more the same, angsty relationships, with little to know development. Which is frustrating, as I find Celaena to be an incredibly frustrating, and sometimes boring protagonist.

However, the second half of the novel was terrific. Fantastic twists, huge steps in relationships, and character development, with gripping action, and immensely raised stakes.

I hope that the rest of Throne of Glass leans towards the latter half of this book rather than the forward.
