I loved a lot in this book and honestly I didn’t expect I would considering I picked and DNFed this book thrice. The arc of characters I liked from the beginning(Ead and Sabran; yes i am predictable) were done exceptionally well while Tanè’s felt lacking(but I loved her interactions with her dragon, and warmed up to her at the end). I just didn’t care about Niclays. The world building and legends were very immersive - I just felt rushed in some parts where I kept wishing I was reading the finale of a fantasy series to have more details, and in some places it was dull slow and meandering. Overall, A hefty but enjoyable read.
