Sam decided to take her uncle up on visiting his remote cabin. She is a painter who is having a block and thinks that a remote location will help her get out of her funk. She soon realizes that she's not alone in the woods, but she can't determine if it's a person or if it is something supernatural.

I thought the premise of this novella was great, but the overall execution left me pondering on some plot holes. I have major questions about Sam's uncle and how he seemingly knew that the dock was something to stay away from... I have lots of theories, and I dunno. It's bothering me.
