Sincerely, Your Inconvenient Wife by Julia Wolf
Did not finish book.
2.0
I, unfortunately had to dfn it halfway through the book. The 1st and 3rd book were my absolute faves, I liked them so much. I thought I would like this one as well, but I just couldn't. The way Luca was portrayed in the first book was really sweet and charismatic. In this book I genuinely couldn't find it. Their first meeting was how I thought they'd be together from reading the first book, but Luca changed SOOO quickly for the worse, he was controlling, made stupid decisions based on false accusations because he was 'too protective' (just overly, completely unreasably jealous in my opinion). And Saoirse was amazing of course, but from the woman i saw in the first book, I couldn't imagine her letting all Lucas' shit go. I was genuinely surprised she let everything go so easily.
Furthermore, I thought there was some sexism involved as well. Like Clara not being de ceo, i don't understand why she didn't get promoted when she did more work than Luca. And that it was always expected of Luca to take over, even tho clara was doing everything for the company (including marrying and having a baby for a random guy on her own will)
Overall, from what I read, I can't picture Luca and Saoirse together (long term) and I thought there were some weird things happening in the story. Truly a shame since Julia Wolf mostly writes absolutely amazing books.
