This is a piece that was written solely for the author. It was difficult to care for the references the author made. Portraits painted of characters felt sort of disingenuous and were hard to connect/latch on to. I may have been expecting too much from it. I found it masturbatory in its nostalgia, which is essentially what grieving is, making it dry to navigate as a reader.
