This book was so encouraging. While it is geared towards those who are chronically, severely or terminally ill, I would say it’s equally as relevant towards those walking with sick loved ones. Also, just those suffering in a broader sense beyond illness: all of the hardships that come from living in a broken world.

The author does a wonderful job focusing on God’s character, instead of focusing on us the sufferers. I found that very refreshing, because we focus on ourselves more than enough. What we really need is to be reminded of who Jesus is in the midst of our suffering.
