MC babysits a young child in this book and the way the author chose to write about this young boy's body was disturbing in that it was dripping with severe antifatness while also pitying the condition he has (assumedly Prader-Willi (or a made up condition similar to it), something I am aware of thru my own research and not b/c of the book as the book chooses to just vaguely refer to it as "the syndrome" or generally dance around naming it). just really upsetting in a way that was not intended.
