Goodnight Punpun, Vol. 1 by Inio Asano

5.0

I don't know who I am any more. I found some manga that I not only didn't hate, but actually loved. It's fantastically dark and twisted, falling somewhere between black comedy and out right tragedy. Some parts actually made me laugh out loud with its weirdness, and the artwork felt well crafted and beautiful, rather than cheap and thrown together. I think I'm going to have to go and buy the next volume straight away to see where it goes. I've heard good but devastating things so I'm keen to know if it holds my interest.
