A Spy in the House by Y.S. Lee

5.0

What an awesome start to a promising series. Our main character, Mary, is every bit of interesting and mysterious, but also has such a relatable personality.
Most prominently, the message of this book speaks to the strength and capability of women despite the environmental factors that shroud societies, especially so in the time period this piece of fiction exists within.
I’m really looking forward to diving into the next book and learning more about Mary’s hidden past.
