I feel bad for both Neji and Hinata, they've been dealt really bad cards in terms of familiy and that family's dynamics and expectation. That being said, Neji is so mean. He absolutely tore Hinata to shreds, and then set fire to what was left with that reading of her. As for the ending of the volume? I'd have noped out in Rock Lee's situation.
