High Tide at Midnight by Budjette Tan, Kajo Baldisimo, Yvette Tan

In the first two books, I've wanted for the cases to be longer and not just flash bangs. Wherein, each case would be fleshed-out, more that there might be two to three cases per volume, all of them contributing to a major arc.
Volume #6 was a bit of a... bore compared to previous issues, probably because it solely focused on one thing (despite undercurrents from the Madame). Or maybe I just don't like sea creatures.
*It was great to be introduced to the eldest Trese sibling. He reminded me of another comic book vigilante superhero whose name escapes me right now.
*What do they do when dozens of civilians witnessed a 60+-foot tall fish monster? Does the Trese world have a Mist like in the Percy Jackson books that masks what mundanes see?
