This book was a slog to get through. I enjoyed it at first, but over time it just got unbearable. There was endless rape and misogyny, both by the characters and the author. Most of the exciting battles and action scenes were skipped in favor of someone talking about the boring aftermath. Whole chapters could have been cut, shortening this book immensely, to the story's great favor. 

Overall, I had such high hopes, but as the book went on and on and on, it just took those hopes away. I'm not even sure I'll ready the next one to be honest.
