This is a much stronger sequel than the first book, I liked the resolution of how Lara's able to shed the "Traitor Queen" title but I kind of wish the end was slightly longer, with more time shared with her people, etc. It ends quite abruptly and doesn't have the typically epilogue, maybe because it has a following duology with others characters? Won't be a favorite of mine, but definitely a way better read than the first one. One thing to appreciate about Lara is how resilient she is, but other than that the characters, not unlike the first book, did kind of fell flat for me sadly. Most likely won't be continuing on with the series.
